A Piece of Advice
The mind is powerful, my friends
You gotta tame it 'cause sometimes it kills
My grandma gave me a piece of advice
Son, don’t be afraid of anything
Men are made through hard knocks
You learn everything as you go
Don’t wait for the perfect moment
But make sure it suddenly shows up
Talent alone isn’t enough
Sometimes perseverance wins the day
The will to do it is where the power lies
And those who don’t do it just don’t want anything
Don’t say: I’ll start tomorrow
Excuses will kill your drive
Why put off projects for later
When nothing comes together when you want it?
Life is made of opportunities
And those who seize them are the winners
The complacent achieve nothing
They’re too scared to get out of bed
I’m sleepy if I don’t get enough rest
But I make the most of the early hours
I let my mind take flight so that
The thoughts that sometimes attack me can come out
I let one go to stop dreaming of monsters
And to get rid of all the cockroaches
The mind is powerful, my friends
You gotta tame it 'cause sometimes it kills
The brave always face the front
The cowards will stab you in the back
The wolf disguises itself as a sheep
Just to get close to the pack
Not everyone you know is a friend
Not everyone who hugs you cares
Even in family, there are exceptions
To clean up, you start at home
