Laços

We may be left aside and disregarded
But we will endure our setbacks
Because it is in neglect, abandonment, and helplessness
That the strength that moves us will make us stronger

Because God recovers the shards
And joins the pieces of broken hearts
And remains faithful by our side
And weaves in failures the knots that strengthen our ties
And exalts the humiliated, oppressed, and rejected
Exalts

We may be weak, sad, or tired
But it is in sadness, tiredness, and weakness
That we are tested
That our vigor is renewed
And instead of resentful, defeated, and distressed
We will be fine and giving glory
Even amidst disdain

Just as Jesus suffered as well
But in the afflicted soul that does not lose heart
Every wound heals
