A Garagem Da Vizinha

Down the street where I live, I met a neighbor
Separated from her husband, she’s living alone
Besides being beautiful, she’s a well of kindness
Seeing my car in the rain, she offered her garage!

She said: No one uses it since he left me!
Inside my garage, cobwebs have gathered!
Put your car in here, or it’ll rust away!
The garage is used, but your car will be okay!

I park the car, take it out, whenever I want
What a snug little garage, what a sweet woman
I take it out early and put it back at night, and sometimes in the afternoon
I’m even changing the oil in the neighbor’s garage!

But my fancy car has a nice trailer
That I use to sell coconuts and make a little extra cash
The garage is small, what do I do now?
My car stays inside, the coconuts stay out!
My neighbor is great, I’ll take care of the garage
Weeds grew at the door, I found a way to cut them!
The kindness of my neighbor is something else entirely
When I’m not using the front, I use the back garage!
