The wounds that were opened in Jesus
A product of sin and wickedness
The blood that was shed on the cruel cross
And the scorn of humanity

He suffered with humility, bore it without complaints
His lips didn’t open out of love
And being the eternal master of the Earth
His pleasure was in forgiving

And what will become of the world, what will become of the sinner
Who lives each day rejecting the Savior
For He gave His life only out of love
And to despise Him is condemnation

Accept His forgiveness, surrender your life
And eternal peace in Him you will receive
His blood will close the cruel wound
That evil inflicted on you without mercy

And think that the love with which He died
Carrying the misery of your sin
Will free you in the end from condemnation
From the infernal and cruel eternity
