De Madrugada
Pedro Faura
At Dawn
At dawn
When the sky is still red
And the path of my life is already marked
I will take all the love you have given me
And go to awaken the sleeping one
Through the land
And on the land my path
Alongside the man who in his death is still alive
Alongside the smoke of the factories and the wheat
Only, only by fighting will we not be defeated
If today they close
The windows of life on us
If today they bind us with burning yokes
Against them stand the dead and the living
Against them stand you, me, and everyone
And we will feel the land is ours again
And the air will reach everyone again
And looking back we will see who we were
And fighting today we will see who we are
Through the land
And on the land my path
Alongside the man who in his death is still alive
Alongside the smoke of the factories and the wheat
Only, only by fighting will we not be defeated
