Green brush
Painted the moon
And poured it over
A canvas of light
Green like the
Sun of America.

Green rim
Made of water,
A green shell
From where came,
Always naked,
Our green Venus.

Green and greener I am
While I dance in peace
Green covers
The earth in bud,
In bud.

America is green,
American green,
And that light comes out of my hands,
Which are your hands
And gather
This wild vastness
Of my continent
That I love
