They classified Jesus
As a heretic blasphemer
Enemy and mortal danger to the nation
They challenged Jesus, they challenged Jesus
Because he performed miracles on wrong days
And without permission

For aligning with the small ones
Without being aligned and without taking a position
And for not being a doctor
For speaking so much of love
They classified Jesus as an alienated
Renegade impostor without class or standard
And they condemned Jesus and they condemned Jesus
Because he spoke of a kingdom
Of fraternity, equality, union
Because he brought with him
The danger of a coup or insurrection
And for saying that he arrived
Because it was God who sent him
They assassinated Jesus on a cross
Among prayers and psalms and chants
Of liberation

They followed Jesus

Poor and blind and deaf and lame and mute
And even officials
Suffering and oppressed people
By people who had or commanded too much
And for being the son of God
And for the kingdom of heaven
They witnessed Jesus
