Via Láctea

Now, you will say, hearing stars, right
You lost your mind, and I will tell you, however
That, to hear them, I often wake up
And open the windows, pale with astonishment

And we talk all night, while
The Milky Way, like an open pallium
Shines; and, at the coming of the Sun, longing and in tears
I still search for them in the deserted sky

Now you will say: Mad friend
What do you talk to them about? What sense
Does what they say make when they are with you?

For only those who love can have the hearing
Able to listen and understand stars
