Pragas
O Principe do Egito
Plagues
Said the Lord
Set my people free
To the great land of Egypt!
I send the plague, pestilence
I’ll send it to your house, to your bed, to your streets
On your drink and your bread
And your cattle, the sheep and the cows will die
If I’m not obeyed, the Egyptians will suffer!
The plagues will bring terror, said the Lord!
My brother, you were
When in other times to please you
Was all I wanted
I will send thunder from the sky
Balls of fire will rain down!
I wish God had chosen another
To come fulfill this mission
This task I didn’t want
I will send burning hail
To every field and region!
It was my home
Destruction, pain, and ruin torment my soul
Many innocents suffer
For your pride to hold
I will send the locusts
So many no one has ever seen
And they’ll cut every leaf
And eat all the green!
The plagues will bring terror, said the Lord!
My brother, you were
Why does your people want to hurt?
The plagues will bring terror!
Let my people go, said the Lord!
Said the Lord!
My brother, you were
Why do you strike me with your hate?
Is that what you wanted?
The plagues will bring terror!
I’m hardened
No matter what it may cost me
I will act this way
I will never let your people go!
Said the Lord!
Said the Lord!
I will not let your people go!
Let my people go!
