Shine For You
Sometimes it seems that being a Christian
Is not easy amidst the darkness
Even more if I think that it's not my light
But the union with God that produces the shine
Sometimes it seems difficult to understand
That the Christian is an example even without wanting
And, for that reason, I need to pray
So that God enlightens me and I can shine!
Lord, I want to shine for You
When the world fades away
I want that through my life
Someone can see You
Make it so that even without words
I speak of Your love!
I want to shine for You
Shine wherever I go!
Sometimes I fear I will fail
Because I know I've made mistakes, I continue to make them
But if my light seems to fade
My God gives me strength to carry on!
No matter how much I try to make an effort
I can only succeed if He helps me
And when I realize my effort is in vain
What I must do is hold His hand!
And when my light seems to flicker
I just need to unite with That Light
That makes everyone shine!
