Jesus, Meu Capitão

I was in a boat without direction to sail
Suddenly a storm came, I was going to shipwreck
The winds scared me, more and more
My soul was distressed, amidst the storm

I made every effort that someone can make
Thought that with my strength I could have peace
I fought, I fought and got tired, but I couldn't win
Suddenly I heard a voice that spoke to my heart
And said: Do not fear, for I am Jesus, your Savior!

Jesus my Captain, Jesus is my Captain
My boat will not sink because Jesus is my Captain

The boat I sail in is this suffering world
And many are in it without direction
Let us march with Jesus, who is our Savior
He died for you, he died for me and I know I will see Him soon
