Today I go in Job's faith
On the path I walked alone
I fought, valued the sweat, for I am not worthy of pity
Thank you, my mother, for instructing me in this crazy world
Your prayers are my valuable shield

It kept me standing, a poor black kid, weak-minded
But I never needed to throw myself into the journey
I thank God for the talent and the victory
The saying is true, there are days of struggle, and days of glory!
