I Became a Christian

How crazy would it be if I told you
That for a long time I didn't believe in Christ?
I used to tell myself I’d never pray, what irony
That thanks to prayer, my life changed

My state: In love with Christ
Thanks to Him, I became a Christian and met my brothers
Together we preach the word, we cross ourselves
Thank God, I thought He’d never forgive my sins
But He’s a compassionate soul
Now I thank the one above day by day
He changed my life

If God gives me 24 hours, I’ll make the most of them
I’d pray for 25 until I reach my bed
Now I can see clearly that heaven has no ceiling
I feel something in my chest, the love of Jesus Christ
It’s so big and pure that I can’t describe it
He saved my life, and now I want to spread it
I have to admit, I never believed in God until
I finally could hear Him
And He told me not to ignore Him
That with faith, everything would be restored
He looked me in the eyes, and while I cried
He told me He was proud of me

My depression was healed with the first hallelujah
And I had a reflection, which I later told the priest
He told me straight up that in the Lord's kingdom
I’d enter if I repented from the heart

Smiling, my pain went away
Even though I’ve sinned, Christ is waiting for me
I don’t have wings, but my faith flies
In the love of Christ, it watches over us

Before, I didn’t believe in Him, until that day came
When I saw myself dead, as my body no longer responded
Right in front, I saw a mirror, where I pass my life
And there was another reflection
Christ saved my life
