How kind a friend is Christ
He revealed his love to us!
And tells us to give him
Our cares, without fear!
Does the sorrowful heart lack
Joy, peace, consolation?
It's because we don't take
Everything to him in prayer

With sorrows and pain?
To Jesus, eternal refuge
Go, with faith, expose your evil
Do your friends despise you?
Tell him that in prayer
And, for his tender love
You will have peace in your heart
Christ is a true friend!
He showed us this
When, to redeem us
He humbly incarnated!
He shed precious blood
To purify us!
Joy, in life and in the future,
