La Anunciación

The angel Gabriel
Was sent by God
Something great was about to happen
To a woman named Mary
From the city of Nazareth

He said do not fear
You have found favor before God
You will give birth to a son
You shall call him Jesus

He will be the great Son of the Most High
And will reign forever
The Lord God will give him the throne
And his kingdom will have no end

She asked
How can this be
If I am nothing special
But I know that for God
Nothing is impossible
Let His will be done in me today

The angel told her
His Spirit is upon you
The fruit you carry
Will be holy
