The Hand on the Plow
Whoever has put their hand to the plow
Must be constant
The sun declines and soon after
It will darken
Moving forward, thinking of Christ
Watching in prayer
Working with joy and love
For your Lord
Do not be discouraged, because your cross
Is greater than that of your brother
The heaviest was carried by your Jesus
He consoles you then
Carrying your cross
Forgiving like Jesus
Walking joyfully
Towards the beautiful heaven
Be a good soldier of Christ Jesus
Enduring afflictions
Not stifling the message of the cross
In persecutions
Proclaiming His love
Bringing news of peace, yes
To those who are waiting
For salvation
When, at last, you lay down the cross
Jesus will crown you
With holy joy in glory and light
He will console you
You will forget your toils
Tribulations and sorrows
When in heaven you enjoy
Perfect peace
