O Anjo do Egito

The Angel of Egypt
A story is told from a long time ago
Of an angel sent to Egypt to visit
And all the firstborn sons of the house would play
If there were no blood on its gates
And behold, at midnight the angel of the Lord passed by
And every firstborn of the house He touched
But who had blood on the doorposts of their gates?
He slept and rested in peace
The angel of Egypt struck down the firstborn
Because there was no blood on its doorposts, the angel saw
Spread today on your gates the crimson blood as Egypt uttered
How glorious it is to bear the marks of the cross
And to be cleansed by the blood of Jesus
The evils of this world can never touch me
If precious blood runs in me
Today, in this house, we are gathered together
It's not the same angel that will pass by here
It is the angel of repair who will touch You
If there is blood on its portals
Raise your voice in cry and prayer
The angel has already arrived with victory in his hands
He makes known the promises of God
Miracles will happen today
Brother, feel the angel of the Lord passing by
I feel Him drawing closer to me now
Enter through the door and walk through the sides
Through faith we can already contemplate
He walks past the young people and approaches the altar
It flies and operates to the chords of the choir
He descends upon the band and the prayer circle
And he extends his hand over to us
He walks past the young people and approaches the altar
It flies and operates to the chords of the choir
He descends upon the band and the prayer circle
Extend your hand over us
Oh, Lord Jesus, come wash me in Your crimson blood
So that I can be sure
May Your precious blood flow within me
May Your precious blood flow within me
May Your precious blood flow within me
Crimson blood
