La Humanidad

Humanity
I believe in humanity
That's why I'm not an atheist
The world matters to me
Even though I know it's complicated
Inside we're all the same
On the outside, so divided
The extremes unarmed
Won't silence my scream
Humanity
Isn't the color of a party
It's the one with a wound in their chest
When a child’s life is taken away
Peace and freedom
Where did empathy go?
Please, just a little compassion
How hungry we are for justice
The innocent first
In the center of the conflict
The flags, the governments
Should bet on love
No one owns the Moon
Powerful with money
A resort in the heights
Heart in black and white
Humanity
Isn't the color of a party
It's the one with a wound in their chest
When a child’s life is taken away
Peace and freedom
Where did empathy go?
Please, just a little compassion
How hungry we are for justice
Oh God
If you're
There
Why does love drift away from us?
Oh God
If you're
There
