Of the first surdo

I walked through streets and alleys
Hill of joy, of emotion!
Looking for harmony, I found poetry
And surrendered to bohemia
At Buraco Quente, Olaria, and Chalé
With my faithful partners

I bring a guitar
At Zicartola, an opinion!
If I enchanted you with my talent
I end up selling you a song

I overcame that pain, conquered thorns
Perfect love in our nest
That was undone in the moonlight!
Pleasure, they call me Nelson Cavaquinho
I tattooed on my path

I dreamed, that Dry Leaves covered my ground
To the delight of this crowd
