Liberta-me de Mim
Luma Elpidio
Set Me Free from Myself
I don’t understand my own actions
Without Your grace, what would I be?
I don’t understand my own actions
Without Your grace, what would I be, God?
For the good I want to do, I don’t do
And the evil I don’t want, that’s what I do
I end up committing
In my being, flesh and Spirit are at war
In an endless battle that
I won’t surrender
For my body has been sold as a slave
And there’s no good in me
Only sin
But I know that in my inner self
I delight in Your law
You are my beloved
So set me free from myself
I want to be Your home
If You’re here
I know I can overcome sin
So fill me with You
Until there’s no more space
For when I’m in Your presence
My life is transformed
For the good I want to do, I don’t do
And the evil I don’t want, that’s what I do
I end up committing
In my being, flesh and Spirit are at war
In an endless battle that
I won’t surrender
For my body has been sold as a slave
And there’s no good in me
Only sin
But I know that in my inner self
I delight in Your law
You are my beloved
So set me free from myself
I want to be Your home
If You’re here
I know I can overcome sin
So fill me with You
Until there’s no more space
For when I’m in Your presence
My life is transformed
And I become
Free to live
Your will
As I get to know You
All of my being
Is filled with goodness
And reigns
The Spirit
Over the flesh
So set me free from myself
I want to be Your home
If You’re here
I know I can overcome sin
So fill me with You
Until there’s no more space
For when I’m in Your presence
My life is transformed
So set me free from myself
I want to be Your home
If You’re here
I know I can overcome sin
So fill me with You
Until there’s no more space
For when I’m in Your presence
My life is transformed
And reigns
The Spirit
Over the flesh
And reigns
The Spirit
Over the flesh
