In the beginning, there was no need to work
Living in paradise, but Adam is sad
He would never age, never know pain,
Food was never lacking, but Adam didn't smile

And they say God is wise, he quickly realized
Something was missing in him, the Lord is clever

Having finished creating
He took a rib from the first man, Adam
But seeing Eve, Adam began to think
Why didn't I give one more rib

Now man is not alone, he has a purpose
To eat all the ribs left by Father Adam
And even as we grow old and have to work
It's been worth it, Adam's rib

But seeing Eve, Adam began to think
Why didn't I give one more rib

Not even God
Can convince Adam anymore
Not even God
Prefers a woman
To God
And so do we,
Lord.
