So I go on living life between two longings
Longing from within, longing that invades
From inside out my heart
Sometimes I feel that these strange truths
Are opposite faces of reality
Happiness against the flow

Cruelty is to go through life without feeling longing
Longing for love or for a city
That rocks and shakes like creatures
Longing for what was not lived
Longing for what was not lost
Longing is only worth it if it shakes the structure
Longing has mercy, it has hurt
Longing belongs to men and God
Left in longing to say if longing has a cure
