I opened my Bible to John 20
And I came across
Mary Magdalene
Crying by the tomb of the King

But she lifts her head
Drying her tears, she opened her eyes
Where the Master's body once lay
Two angels Mary saw

They asked her: Woman, why do you weep?
Mary answered
Because there was my boy Jesus’ body
But now His body has disappeared
Then Mary stepped back
I believe she was ready to leave
That’s when the Master appeared and asked her

Mary, why do you weep?
Mary, why do you seek me?
Mary, do me a favor
Don't look for me among the dead
Because I am alive

Go now
And tell my brothers
To start smiling again
Tell them, Mary, that it’s not over
Tell them I've conquered death

Then Mary, wasting no time, went
She ran toward the disciples
And said to them: Sit down, everyone
Let me tell you how it all happened

The earth trembled
The tomb opened
And nothing can overcome His great love
O death, where is your sting?
Father has risen
He conquered forever, forever

Forever He is exalted
Forever He is adored
Forever He lives
He is risen

And I know very well

Is in the hands of my Jesus, who lives
