Notte di Natale
Lucio Corsi
Christmas Night
White moon, what are you doing in the dark?
In our world, you're more than a star
Catch the first flight that takes you to town
Let’s grab dinner and then dance the tip-tap
Sometimes sharing a pain in two
Is better than being alone in peace
Then soon it’ll start snowing, uh-uh
Even the lonely cat like us
Put a bone where the dog sleeps
It’s Christmas night
A cold wind blows in the pub parking lot
Grab a cloud, you need a scarf
Every time my heart breaks in two
When I come home and find everything the same
Except for mom and dad who keep getting older
Time’s a train lost in its own thoughts
But tonight it said: It can slow down
And you’re that little stone in the endless dark
That I kept searching for
I didn’t understand love
But then suddenly
She came to visit me
On Christmas night
They put salt on the roads
So the ladies don’t slip and fall
At Christmas, no one dies
Then they feed in the hospital
Those who can’t digest the panettone
At Christmas, no one dies
And you’re that little stone in the endless dark
That I kept searching for
I didn’t understand love
But then suddenly
She came to visit me
On Christmas night
Everything feels like a commercial
The moon dancing to rock
With a finger hitchhiking
And you’re that little stone in the endless dark
That I kept searching for
I didn’t understand love
But then suddenly
She came to visit me
On Christmas night
