Melancholy has waves like the sea, makes you go and then come back
it cradles you gently
Melancholy dances like a slow dance, you can hold it silently
and feel everything inside
it's feeling close and also far, it's traveling while standing still
it's living other lives
it's feeling like flying inside airplanes on illuminated ships
on trains you see passing by

it has the warm and red light of a sunset
of a wounded day that never wants to die

it almost seems like happiness, it almost seems like the soul that goes
the dream that mixes with reality
you can mistake it for sadness but it's just the soul that knows
that even pain will serve

and it stops for a moment to console the crying
of the wounded world that doesn't want to die

and getting lost among the dunes of the desert among the waves in the open sea
even within this city
