Who’s got a blade ready

He fell into a trap
Before the sun came up
Thanks to the trapper
He ended up behind bars
But he jumped the fence
Without disturbing the gates

Dragging the blade along
He started writing some lines
Telling anyone who’s looking for him
They know what he’s got
That he only respects God and the government
That’s all he gives a damn about

They say that rooster
Long before dawn
Was seen at night
From the sky, the stars
He crossed Tierra Blanca
With a clear path to the mountains

There they spotted him in Sonora
Heading towards Nogales
They found him in Tijuana
Through Chihuahua and Ciudad Juárez
Looking for the black rooster
The one that killed his father

The cockfighters say
That rooster is a real player
That he’s a terror over in Sinaloa
They call him brave
His name is Manuel Salcido
