Always the great liberator Simón Bolívar
Wanted Latin America to unite
And that one day our countries would be
Under the shadow of the same flag

Though not in the way he imagined
That dream of Bolívar has come true
Under the same sky, we Latinos stand
Latinos in the United States

Though here we have all nationalities
And people come from all five continents
We Latinos see each other as equals
Even if we're from different countries

If you came to this country washing dishes
Don’t feel ashamed, it’s honest work
But you can also study in your spare time
And you too will see your dream come true

Now that we’re here, let’s come together
Let’s all try to lift each other up
And we’ll always feel proud
That here they call us Hispanics
