Our wise man in his agony
Raised his eyes to the sky
Asking God for consolation
So much strength and energy

Help me, my Virgin
Who blows on a float
My beloved children may
May pass that land
And thus be free
From being killed!

May the Divine Virgin
That in these united floats
My beloved children reach
That neighboring land!
By the pilgrim's luck
And the wind that will blow
The float will take them
To that hospitable land

The Virgin of Candelaria
Will console them thus

Who took them to a beach
And a shepherd picked them up
He arrived in good time
For his father Yballa cried
And everyone consoled her
And with well-given help
They lived for many years
And had many children
With his honest behavior

He jumped off a cliff
His life ended
But the history did not end
Of his goodness
The wise nature was notorious
And in payment for his nobility
God welcomed him into glory
