Los Templos
Los Prisioneros
The Temples
That Sunday morning just as I woke up
I saw the temples taking off
And they weren't rockets
They were ships for prayer
Churches, synagogues, and mosques
Fleeing the earth to soar through the blue sky
Emigrating to other planets
The faithful are left without thinking or breathing
That their temples have left
Today they’re selling the decrees of canonization
Hunger, fear, and a lot of cold
The landowners are settling in to reign
And they accept you as a slave
They'll mark the barcode on your skin
As access to food
Any spirituality has to be hidden
Because there’s no place to go pray
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah
The temples are leaving
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah
They’re taking off
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah
They’re gone
The metals of value will dissolve in water
You won't be able to eat your life savings
Death and illness will make their selection
The puppy's blanket burns on every corner
The temple will finally grow in your heart
To pray and breathe will be the same
And everything from the past will reveal itself as pagan at last
Since the temples escaped
The temple rises in my heart
And when I breathe, prayers take flight
The wind calms in my heart
And when I look at you, prayers take flight
The bridge rises in my heart
And when I walk, prayers sound out
The temple builds in my heart
And when I breathe, prayers take flight
The temple builds in my heart
And when I breathe, prayers take flight
And when I breathe, prayers take flight
And when I breathe, prayers take flight
