Holding up dignity
over defeated towns,
opening paths between dream and horror,
they keep giving birth to much more life
than was cut short
Forever young, the photo of yesterday and today looks at us

And tomorrow they will continue with fire in their feet
to burn forgetfulness, silence, and forgiveness
They jump over all the puddles
of the pain that bled,
spreading faith, the Mothers of Love

There are many saints
behind God's bars
and so many murderers enjoying this sun
All the screams will echo
through the voiceless years
Silhouette and cathedral, bells and clock

And tomorrow they will keep covering the eyes
of the sky so it won't cry again
They are crossing this destiny,
between ignorance and courage,
