Tres Deseos
Leire Martínez
Three Wishes
Today, before the first coffee, I erased
What I wrote while crying
With the closed eyes
Of a heart that doesn't see
Like a bird that loses faith
And finds the frozen sea
Flying wrong
Like I did when I returned
And being that fool who thought she had found you
But it was a disguise of love that one day you left behind
While you were smiling
You gave me a thorn disguised as a flower
The same lie in a thousand love letters
It wasn't even a real kiss
One of those that you give away without asking for forgiveness
You close a wound to split me in two
You wrote my story with a worse ending
Swearing to me three wishes
So, in this fourth, you'd tell me no
Even though you turned my clock upside down
It's already daylight for me
Taking the life away
That you made me believe I had
How many times have I tried to understand
That monotony
To which I returned
Because of that fear of losing
And being that fool who thought she had found you
But it was a disguise of love that one day you left behind
While you were smiling
You gave me a thorn disguised as a flower
The same lie in a thousand love letters
It wasn't even a real kiss
One of those that you give away without asking for forgiveness
You close a wound to split me in two
You wrote my story with a worse ending
Swearing to me three wishes
So, in this fourth, you'd tell me that
You, from the beginning, believed that I
I would give my life for our song
But that girl has already changed
You gave me a thorn disguised as a flower
The same lie in a thousand love letters
It wasn't even a real kiss
One of those that you give away without asking for forgiveness
You close a wound to split me in two
You wrote my story with a worse ending
Swearing to me three wishes
So, in this fourth, you'd tell me that
So, in this fourth, you'd tell me no
