A ray of sunshine shines again
in my heart there's something better
than everything there was yesterday
there are no more photographs
or gray clouds or dim days
crying on Christmas

Today I stroll through my city again
stepping on dry leaves
and snacking on cookies.

I don't know if you know
that I don't love you anymore
that I don't even miss you
and even though you think
I've wasted my time
I've built a great world in a ray of sunshine

The best part is that in the end
there's always a song
to sing and create a thousand dreams
that erase memories and hide those fears
that used to scare me

It will snow again on Christmas
