By the shore, right by the sand
The blue of the sea called me
And in the voice of a mermaid
I heard my name being said
By the shore, right by love
I asked her: Who's calling me?
She said it was the pain
That can't love but still does
By the shore, right by the port
She shouted: My soul is yours!
But when I looked at her body
She vanished, half-naked
By the edge of loneliness
For days I called her
And in the sea of my heart
In the distance, I hear the mermaid
