Silently, the heart sways
Why are parents two?
We see the world, we travel
Every week and every summer
Memories that move away
And can't be told

Two homes, two neighborhoods
Two birthday cakes
Multiplying fathers and mothers
Has its upsides too
Before others, I would have known
That the only feeling that lasts
Is the pain of a breakup
Where I would have never broken up
