Canto Versos
Jorge Fandermole
Singing Verses
If I think of something to say
If I think of someone to live for
If almost nothing remains standing
And this second one is already gone
If a glow lasts in the gaze
Going through so much pain
I sing verses of my feelings
And I condemn them to survive
Where the sun seems not to shine
Where one dies of loneliness
In the depths of this stillness
Where the blood hid the light
Where a guardian angel is dying
And our water and bread go rotten
I sing verses from the heart
And I light them up in a song
I sing, I sing
I am so weak that singing is my raised hand
And loud I sing, I sing
I don't know what to do anymore in this burning land
But sing
In the invisible part of the city
Where hate and truth are hidden
Where the mouths of a gray child
Sleepwalkers run after me
The unfortunate night that a God
Repentant he forgot us
I sing verses of fury and faith
So they can help me stand up
I sing, I sing
I am so weak that singing is my raised hand
And loud I sing, I sing
What else to do with uninhabited words
But sing
I sing, I sing
I don't know what to do anymore in this burning land
But sing
I sing, I sing
I am so weak that singing is my raised hand
And loud I sing, I sing
