Cristo Es Mi Prometido

Christ is my promised one, he is all my life
He enchants my eyes when I contemplate his face
He covered my maiden's cloak with stars
And his wedding ring shines on my finger

I am the betrothed of the Lord of the heavens
To whom the angels will forever serve
He chose a virgin as mother here on earth
His father is the living God who has no end

When his Eucharistic body touches my lips
My heart transforms into purity and chastity
And the kiss of his mouth that consumes me with love
Gives me the sweet treasure of virginity

Christ is my lover, he is my lover and beloved
He has marked my forehead with his seal of love
And I am consecrated to my beloved Christ
May no other lover ever come near me

I feel myself purplish with his precious blood
And I already feel in my soul his eternal love
I fear nothing as his peace has flooded me
And the fire of his love will never be extinguished

My beloved is for me
And I am for my beloved
