Christ came to the poor to share the good news
So much did Christ love the poor
That He chose to be poor too

And being born in a stable, He gave up riches
That's why Christ is still present
Among the poor

It's not possible to love Christ if we don't love the poor
If we love Him, we'll love His mission
This is Christ's mission

To heal the sick, to free the slaves
And to announce to the world the poor

When Christ came to the world, He became a slave to the poor
His friends were poor, and so were His parents
He gave His life for the poor

He is the suffering servant
Nailed to a cross, He gave us eternal life in heaven
Dying out of love
