Who will say?
I want to know
These modern issues
Not ancient woes
Who stole away
All of this peace?
To pollute is no way!
This must cease!

Sacred seas
Are somber, forlorn
In silent response
The storms are born
In waters deep
The scars unfold
Such fierce destruction, bold

And here I sleep
Perhaps even contribute
But my awakening calls
I feel the urge to shout it all!

From ships of old
And all the oil spilled
Seas left tainted
Waters filled!

To the trash and waste
Scattered in pure streams
By human hands
In poisoned dreams

These human beings
So far from humane
With blind indifference
And endless disdain
Alongside the corrupt
So quick to feign
Innocence, denying the stain

Pay close heed
The reckoning's near—
We’re all to blame
For what’s left here!

Waters rage
In tempest wild
Helpless creatures
Yearn for freedom mild
World of madness
What vast deceit
Cruel times loom
Face this defeat!

But if you, too
Feel as I do
Let the fury stir in you
All of us united
Armored by truth
We’ll fight for our planet’s youth

And if you care
Take up a cause
Protect our greens
Our waters, our laws

Chemicals pour
Sediments rise
Each act a fracture
In nature’s guise
Warming oceans
Oxygen drained
Our seas left barren
Life deeply pained

Unacceptable ways
Trash on our shores
Even beasts know better
Than such disgraceful chores

Enough with pretense
Enough of disdain—
End the silence
Show your refrain!

Radioactive waste
Industrial spills
Biological threats
The sea can’t still
Predatory fishing
Species gone
Examples etched
In history’s song

Could we restore
The waters' shield
Save the remnants
Nature’s wounds could heal?

To each of us
A task to bear—
Protect the earth
Restore what’s fair

Let’s pause, reflect
And act with speed
Repair the damage
Fulfill this need

Urgently now
Hold this in mind
Oceans mourn
Our rivers confined

Will time forgive
Our reckless hand?
Or are we bound
For a desolate land?

It’s yours, it’s mine
It’s all of ours—
Let’s shield the earth
Keep it from scars
