Wandering through the neighborhood
Not knowing what will become of him, he’s not alone
For six years, that addiction has been his companion

The neighbors don’t want him around

His family doesn’t look for him, they stayed away for their own good
Today his bed is the sidewalk
His blanket is a piece of paper

They say that in the early mornings he sometimes prays and asks for his daughter
Whose name he can’t remember
The addiction has wiped memories from his mind
He mutters, "Damn the day I tried that shit"

Today he died on that corner
With sadness on his face
Damn life

Rolling a joint and causing chaos
I’d come home all messed up
My wife pissed off for me being so late

I left my family to get high
