Here come the times of rain
The sky is getting cloudy
Smells like wet dirt
It's raining in the distance
The shadows are starting to fall
From the clouds onto the hills
You can see the lightning flash
The thunder's rolling in hard
The leaves are gonna get washed
This is gonna be good
I can see myself on my horse
Checking out the fields
How beautiful the rain looks
As it starts to fall
And how joyful the fields look
As they turn green
How nice it is to be nice
Just like the old folks say
Here come the times of rain
Hope it rains evenly
They say the downpours
Are best in May
'Cause they soak the ground
And make the plains turn green
And with rain for two or three days
There'll be grass all year long
How nice it is when the water
Runs through the creek
My truck looks great
All covered in mud
Life on the ranch, man
It's a whole different vibe
How beautiful the rain looks
