The Ranchers
How beautiful are the ranches
Hidden in the hills
And they look even prettier
When the sky gets cloudy
And when the rains start
The rancher gets excited
From very early on
The cowboys rise
To start their work
First, they grab their coffee
Then they saddle their horse
To move the cattle around
For the sun, a good hat
And spurs made of steel
To protect from scratches
Leather chaps on their legs
And a rented horse
That doesn’t need to be pulled
Gotta round up the cattle
For weaning the calves
Get the crew ready
The branding's gonna be good
Get the ropes ready
And dust off the tools
A cow for the milk
In the mornings they milk
Nothing beats having a taco
Of beans with some meat
And even if the table's humble
The food tastes great
In the afternoons, the cowboys
Come down from the hill
They’ve got dry throats
The heat feels nice
They raise their hands and wipe
The sweat with their bandana
On the ranch, it’s a different vibe
Life is very different
Maybe the work is tough
And you suffer sometimes
But that’s the way of the land
As Don Vicente said
Gotta round up the cattle
