Guandu, strong and powerful land,
Of grand cities,
The most beautiful I've ever seen.

Guandu, you are the cradle where I was born,
So, feeling this great emotion,
I offer you these verses,
Along with my gratitude.

Baixo Guandu, great hospitable source,
Immense pride of this Brazilian land,
How beautiful it is to see
Your coffee plantations blooming:

Seeing your fields, your great waterfalls
Seeing your forests in the mountain ranges
Contemplating the white moon like silver
I sang a sweet serenade, singing this song.

When spring arrives
Your hills bloom,
Adorning the little chapels
Where your children pray
Great rivers meeting
Consecrating this union.

Oh! Guandu, beloved land,
Piece of my heart.
