May the Greatest Excess Be Love
I look to the side and realize
Attitudes that only lead to error
I see love cooling down
Pride taking over
They take away the essence of praying
Of knocking on the door and seeking
Intimacy with Jesus
The recognition of what He suffered for us on the cross
Yet I always tried
But I see Christ in perfection and realize I erred
His faithfulness is incomparable
His love is immensely great
But how many times were we unfaithful
We tried to please, but in the end we failed
Through a word or thought
Instead of judge, we made judgments
If we are to continue, I don't want to err anymore
And if I err, I want to have the feeling
That at every moment I tried to get it right
