I am far from my beautiful homeland
I'm tired
I miss Jesus

Little birds, beautiful flowers
They want to enchant me
They are splendid terrestrial gaps!
But I contemplate my home

Jesus gave me his promise

My sins were many
I am very guilty
But his blood makes us clean

I want to go
Which bird to the nest
To escape into your arms
He is faithful; his coming is certain

But He commands to be alert
From exile I will return

My home up in heaven
