The waters of the Jordan descended
Jesus, the Redeemer
Eternal God who died
For us, in holy love

We should have his example
As a rule to guide us
Saved by his power
We want to follow his steps

Jesus died on the cross for us
He redeemed us from evil
He opened the way that leads
To divine life

We die to vile sin
Never to return
And everything hostile to us
We want to despise!

We will have a new life
Dedicating ourselves to good
Living in holiness and love
Speaking of God's love
