Vitória Em Cristo

I heard the beautiful story
That Jesus came down from glory
And on Golgotha finally died
For how many like me
I heard His groans
Of His blood and the redeemed
And in the end, contrite I prostrated myself
I found victory in Him

Victory in Christ
Eternal victory!
He sought me, saved me
On the cross He died for me
What peace and joy!
A new day dawned!
Jesus gave me victory
In the blood He shed!

I heard that He heals
Yes, all who seek Him
He made the lame walk, then
And gave sight to the blind
I prayed, I cried out: My Master
Come restore my life
And soon Christ answered me
And gave me victory

I heard about the glory
That will come after victory
For the redeemed by Jesus
In the resplendent light
Of angels singing there
And mansions already waiting for me
It will be glorious to arrive there
And then be able to sing
