Além do Rio

I have heard of a beautiful, enchanted land
Of a place where happiness is complete
My eyes already see not so far away
My ears already hear divine sounds

So tired I am of life on this side
That my arms can hardly row anymore
Calloused and wounded from so many days
They want to find the balm of that port

Beyond the river, there is a place for me
Beyond the river, there is peace
Beyond the river, life will have no end
And with Jesus I will dwell

I have already dreamed of those dwellings
That no eye here has seen and never will see
It has a beauty that cannot be compared
For the glory of the Lord is present

Much more beautiful than the setting sun
Or the water drop in a prism, like crystal
Is the meeting of redeemed brothers of faith
It was worth living, fighting, and winning after all

Beyond the river, there is a place for me
Beyond the river, there is peace
Beyond the river, life will have no end
And with Jesus I will dwell
