Be my guide, O Christ: I am fearful
Of walking alone through loneliness!
Be my guide, and the dreadful wilderness
Will no longer be a place of darkness!

Be my guide, lead me by your side
For I desire to be with you, Lord!
For by your arm, being thus supported
I shall not stumble nor be afraid

Be my guide, in radiant times
Or in calm, or even in storms!
Be my guide, so I may continue forward
Without straying from the divine path!

Into the paternal house, in heaven beyond
