I give thanks for this life: for the good it has revealed
I give thanks for the future, and for everything that has passed
For the blessings poured out, for the pain, for the affliction
For the grace revealed! I give thanks for forgiveness

Thanks for the heavenly blue and for the clouds that are there too
For the roses on the path, for the thorns they have
For the darkness of the night, for the star that shone
For the answered prayer, for the dream that failed

For the cross and suffering and for every trial
For the love that is immeasurable, for the peace in the heart
For the shed tear, for the relief that is unmatched
For the gift of eternal life, I will always give thanks!
