By the side of the road there are
Many waiting for salvation
Can such souls without God perish
Or are you ready to help them out?

Who today will say: Here I am, Lord
I want to tell the lost about love
To how many on life's path I find
Of Christ I will speak

By the side of the road there are
Many who seek the bread of heaven
For the hungry, oh! Who will speak
Of the Gospel that will satisfy them?

On the path you walk
There are spiritual sick ones
Like the good Samaritan, will you act
Or like the scribe, just pass on by?

When the journey comes to an end
And the end of the road draws near
You will know many in the crowd
Who received salvation from God.
